MISSION
☒ Lead and perform developments and studies of tire related NVH technologies from both modeling and testing points of view.
☒ Support of tire development programs (Replacement and OE).
☒ Drive the NVH center of competencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
☒ Improve the current state of the art (tools, methods, knowledge, ...)
☒ Support tire designers (RE and OE) engineers and OEM with tire performances predictions and analysis
☒ Support semi-anechoic chamber operations including test methodologies and standards.
☒ Assume and take the technical responsibility in some projects requiring NVH expertise (pre-development for new tire brands, key OE projects, …)
ACTIVITIES
☒ Drive and coach junior engineers working on NVH related research projects
☒ Manage and handle NVH requests and studies, analyze and validate both test and prediction data
☒ Analyze technical problems and choose the most suitable tools for the solution
☒ Provide inputs to define the DOE (design of experiments) to tire designers (RE and OE) and maintain technical requirements database
☒ Regularly document and communicate the NVH deliverables
☒ Participate in the validation of new design and simulation NVH tools and deploy them within a defined perimeter (e.g., RFQ for 3rd party)
☒ Organize the capitalization of knowledge and know-how of NVH (documentation, data base, NVH related design guidelines, …)
☒ Actively participate to Design Event related to new product development and key OE projects
PRE-REQUIREMENT
☒ At least master degree in mechanical or related engineering field
☒ Minimum 5 years of recent relevant experience in tire industry
☒ Deep understanding of tire noise testing (indoor and outdoor) and prediction methods
☒ Good knowledge of tire specification, tire design
☒ Familiar with FEA analysis is a plus
☒ Good level of English (written and spoken
